Race for Life



Hello You wonderful people!

I want to thank you all so much and tell you what a great “Race” day we had The atmosphere was so charged and the feeling of unity was just wonderful there was an amazing sea of women and supporters dressed in every shade of pink!

Almost every lady wore on their backs a dedication to their loved ones which was such a moving sight, mine of course was for my “Beautiful Mum”

Every one entered into the spirit of the day and there were so many supporters along our route to encourage us on, but we couldn’t help but slow down to take a look at the fun people dressed in fancy dress particularly a group of “Hell’s Angels” bikers dressed in pink tutus! It was the funniest!

The weather was perfect for our run at 11.30am as it was quite cool and importantly dry

We were on such a high for taking part and as it was our very first attempt we feel we did good to complete and collect our medals in just under an hour

We don’t know yet the exact amount we have all raised together as there are still offline donations to be collected and our online pages I think are active until September

The rough estimated figure we think would be around £500 which is absolutely brilliant and all down to the kindness, support and generosity of people as yourself

I hope knowing this gives you a glow that you deserve because you have made a big difference for some one needing help from Cancer Research
